From then on AI operations on the Claude-powered tiers cost zero credits (you pay Anthropic directly), while campaigns you set to Max or Mini keep billing in credits because those run on our own models, and our prompt-caching still applies to your key, which keeps that direct Anthropic spend down. BYOK is really a billing model that gives you direct control over AI spend rather than a guaranteed discount: whether it works out cheaper than credits depends on your volume and conversation complexity. If your key ever fails, the bot automatically falls back to credits so it never goes dark.

Why is BYOK Claude-only? Can I use OpenAI or Gemini?

Not in our experience. The connection runs on a private server with a dedicated proxy to keep your number safe. No SIM card is needed. A few countries can't be rented due to local regulations, so in those cases, bring your own local number.

Per AI Agent. Each AI Agent has its own instructions, FAQs, channel, and behavior, and you can create as many as you want. Entry Points decide who answers a new conversation on every account, so a single WhatsApp number can serve several Agents: the Who Answers New Conversations panel on the AI Agents page shows a green Live badge when every connected channel has an Agent picked, and an amber count for any channel still unanswered.

The bot sees and describes the photo accurately, but there's no one-click visual-match engine or native catalog sync. The working version: it sees the photo, describes it, then looks up a match against product info you've given it, whether via FAQs, real-time web search of your live site, or a custom function that calls your store's API for the product, price, and link.

The webhook events you can subscribe to are Contact Created, New Message, Appointment Booked, Human Alerted, Reads, Deliveries, Replies, Credits Spent, Credits Recharged, Chat Concluded, Contact Paused, Contact Resumed, Contact Unarchived, Contact Do Not Disturb, Low Credit Balance, Task Created, Task Updated, Task Completed and Daily Summary Created. Tags work differently: a webhook cannot be filtered down to a single tag through its event subscription, so to get a request when a specific tag is applied, set a webhook URL on that tag in the Tags tab of the agent (or campaign). The subscribed_to_tags setting on a webhook only narrows which tags produce a conversation-summary notification; it does not scope the webhook's events to a tag.
